Heat exchanger service
Heat exchanger servicing should be checking regularly because a heat exchanger failure often stops all production at the station, generating financial losses.
The heat exchanger service should take place:
- Every 3 months by chemical cleaning to improve exchanger efficiency
- Every 5 years by replacing the gaskets in the ammonia exchangers to avoid unsealing the exchanger.
- Between 5-10 years through a comprehensive service including regeneration of plates and replacement of gaskets (in the event of harsh operating conditions and high temperatures, such service can also take place every year)
